Roll On returns—and Mr. Skolnick has a major announcement.
After 20 years of working toward this moment, Adam Skolnik’s debut novel American Tiger is here. It’s a story rooted in Southern California about a game warden and his daughter navigating rumors of a tiger roaming the suburbs—inspired by a true story Adam reported for the L.A. Weekly back in 2005. He recorded the entire audiobook right here in our studio, bringing the chaparral, the mountains, and the wildlife of his narrative home to the very ecosystem it depicts.
Adam Skolnick is a veteran journalist, author of One Breath, and co-author of David Goggins’ Can’t Hurt Me and Never Finished. He’s covered everything from human rights to extreme sports for The New York Times, Outside, ESPN, and more. And now, he’s a novelist.
As for me? I’ve been living an entire season of life in the span of a month. This episode is equal parts celebration, travelogue, and family reckoning. Raw, honest, and deeply human.
